The program coordinator provides ongoing administrative and logistic support for the staff and initiatives at IEL. At present, this position will support the program managers advancing systemic family engagement and linkages between early childhood programs and Community Schools. Project assignments may change over time as projects shift at IEL.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day management, coordination, implementation and evaluation of projects and work plans
- Help maintain routine communications with network members, partners, and other constituents.
- Manage social media and communications platforms (such as Slack) and direct mailing strategies in support of projects, partners, networks and on-site activities.
- Manage financial processes, including bi-weekly preparation of vouchers and basic tracking of expenditures and payments (i.e., meeting invoices, consultant contracts and other project related invoices) to ensure timely and accurate payment.
- Manage and conduct research on issues pertinent to project goals and activity
- Write, edit, and produce a variety of project materials as well as IEL products as directed (e.g., conference programs, correspondence, program handbooks, quarterly reports, project guidelines, policies, proposals, newsletters, etc.).
- Assist with planning and organization of annual all-site conferences, site visits, and meetings.
- Assist with virtual networking and capacity-building events logistics, administrative, and content planning.
- Serve on IEL-wide ad hoc committees and planning groups.
- Bachelor’s degree required, plus as least two (2) years of professional experience (preferred)
- Understanding of key policy and practice issues related to improving outcomes for children
- Environmental scanning, research, evaluation and analysis skills
- Capacity to build and sustain networks and to engage them across systems
- Experience planning in-person and virtual convenings and capacity-building events
- Can-do attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Documented capacity to work effectively as a team member
- Strong interest in promoting equity and inclusion for youth and adults in areas that include program development, leadership development, workforce development, and/or education policy.
- Experience with various software packages: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications; Adobe Acrobat; online bulk email services; social media platforms, SLACK, some experience editing websites with online content management systems.

Compensation: Range is between $55,000 and $70,000, commensurate with experience
